In 2015, Dr. Jacob received notification that he was selected to the Fulbright Specialists Program. This five-year appointment enables him to work closely with leaders of higher education institutions and government in multiple countries. Some of the areas that Dr. Jacob will work with colleagues on from these locations include higher education capacity building, strategic planning, and quality assurance. Established in 1970, the World Council of Comparative Education Societies (WCCES) is an organization of comparative education societies worldwide as well as an NGO in operational relations with UNESCO. WCCES represents a global effort to promote and coordinate cross-boundary scholarship of comparative, international, and development education. In March 2014, the WCCES Archive was transferred from Kent State University to the University of Pittsburgh and then afterwards to the WCCES Archive on Mendeley. Read More
Dr. Jacob has an extensive editing resume, where he has held leadership editing assignments with multilateral government agencies (e.g., World Bank, UNAIDS, UNDP), nongovernmental organizations, and several international publishers (e.g., Bloomsbury, Elsevier, Routledge, Springer, and Sage). He currently serves as Co-editor of two book series (with Palgrave Macmillan and Sense Publishers) and as Associate Editor of the International Journal of Educational Development (IJED). Read More
